Forgive

Forgiveness is a choice.

All of us at sometime have been wronged by someone else. Some much more deeply than others. We can choose to forgive or we can let what has happened affect and even control our lives.

We need to forgive. We are told to forgive.

… first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. " Mark 11:25 (NLT)

We all fall short of the mark. That is what the Gospel message is all about. Jesus died for our wrongdoings so that we could be forgiven.

If God can forgive us when we constantly err, we must be ready to forgive others.

The apostle Paul who was a self-confessed blasphemer, persecutor and violent man (1 Timothy 1:13), was able to say, “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy…” (1Timothy  1:16)

Choose to forgive. And be forgiven.
