A new beginning
A new dawn. A new year.
During 2020, the year 2021 held new hope for many people. But sadly instead of relief, 2021 has already seen the escalation of the effects of the pandemic, COVID-19, and of political turmoil. People are wondering what the future holds. Many have no hope for the future.
We all need hope.
We all need to see a future where our life will be better in some way. Hope will make our present situation more bearable; hope will motivate us to keep on going; hope helps to define who we are and where we are heading.
If you do a search of the word “hope’ in the Bible you’ll find many, many references and very comforting and uplifting verses. One of the interesting ones was written by the apostle Paul where he says he was imprisoned “for the hope of Israel”. (Acts 28:20). That hope went back centuries to their forefathers and the promises God gave to them – the promise of a Messiah; a promise of a future for the earth.
Ephesians 2:12,19-20, Ephesians 3:6 and Galatians 3: 26-29 may help you understand how you can share this hope. It is the main theme of the Bible from cover to cover.
May 2021 be a year of hope for you. A new beginning.
