Heart from a locket among pebbles

What hope is there?

The words faith, hope and love appear together in context several times in the New Testament. They are the foundation of our Christian life.

We have faith in God, in His Son and in their promises; we find hope in these promises; and we are carried by the love of God and Jesus each day.

Mankind was created with a free will. We have made bad choices and the world has suffered.

There are many disenfranchised and marginalised people in the world. In response to God’s love for us, we endeavour to reach out to people who find themselves in such circumstances.

We cannot make the world right. But we can help to make people feel valued and loved by showing kindness and compassion. We can give them hope. We can share our faith in the promise that one day the world will be safe and beautiful; that there will be justice and equality; that it will be filled with God’s love and peace.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
