A better world
How good this bowl of fruit looks! And how good our world would be if it produced the fruits of the spirit- the basic moral values of Christianity.
The apostle Paul gives us a list in Galatians 5:22,23 of these values which he lists as the fruit of the spirit. These are character traits which a Christian should strive to attain.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
We all fall short so often but if everyone sought to attain these values, there would be no abuse, no violence… none of the terrible things listed in verses 19-21.
We can’t change others. But we can change ourselves… with God’s help.
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness..
