Why would you want to be a Christian? Part 2.
In our last Spiritual Reflection we asked the above question and promised in coming weeks to talk about the reasons as to why being a Christian is the best choice. We also said we would reflect on personal thoughts of some who have chosen to be followers of Jesus.
One of our readers stated,” As a Christian I feel loved, valued, accepted and forgiven.”
God and his son, Jesus, are ready to forgive anything we have done as long as we are sorry and are willing to try and change our ways. When we choose to follow Jesus and follow God’s ways, we experience this saving grace which enables us to feel loved and valued.
Christ helps us with our grief, our sorrow, our wrong doings
… and on top of that provides us peace and healing.
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 53:4-5 NIV
May you experience the “peace of God, which transcends all understanding”.
