Clouds of glory
A morning walk on the beach… and images such as this of majestic clouds, can bring so many Bible verses and concepts to mind.
Consider Psalm 68, verses 4 & 5:
Sing praises to God and to his name! Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds. His name is the LORD—rejoice in his presence!
Father to the fatherless, defender of widows—this is God, whose dwelling is holy. (NLT)
What a wonderful picture of our God – Majestic! Worthy of all praise! Holy. Yet compassionate and a father to the individual.
And another picture comes to mind from Mark 13, verses 26 & 27:
Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with great power and glory.
And he will send out his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the world—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven. (NLT)
Such a wonderful image and hope! Will you be among the chosen?
